I have spoken to Amazon support, and this is a known issue with multiple complaints which Amazon is 'working on,' but I wouldnt hold my breath. Very nice, as Apple Music is currently the cheapest lossless music streaming alternative, since Amazon Unlimited doesn't provide lossless in most regions around the world and certainly not mine. One has to manually go into Windows>control panel>sound>speaker>properties>advanced to manually change bit/sample rate.
